This page of the PEDSSA website allows member schools to contribute. You could send in team photos, action shots or match reports to be published on the website. However, you must ensure that photos have been cleared for use on the internet before sending them to me. Please remember, although we are willing to publish reports, PEDSSA is not a results service. It is also not PEDSSA policy to publish all scores. We want to promote participation in competitions by all schools.

The St. Michael's Year 7 and year 8 Netball teams represented Poole and East Dorset at the County Netball Finals on Saturday 9th March. Each team had to play 7 matches against schools from around the county, including private schools. The Year 8s were undefeated and the year 7s lost just one match . Both teams were crowned County Champions. This is a remarkable achievement for a small school to achieve the double . Well done girls!

After some incredibly close and intense group games Allenbourn qualified as winners from section 1 with Lytchett as runners up. P.G.S. were group winners in section 2 with St. Michael's as runners up. The semi final saw St. Michael's beat Allenbourn 8-2 in a Wimborne Derby and Parkstone beat Lytchett 9-0.

The PEDSSA final P.G.S. vs St. Michael's , was a repeat of the group game which Parkstone had won 5-4, but in the final St. Michael's made some tactical team changes and played really well to win 4-3. It was a very close game with a very high level of skill and competiveness. Good luck to both teams in the County Final.

PEDSSA YEAR 7 HOCKEY TOURNAMENT

WEDNESDAY 9TH JANUARY

QE School was delighted to host the year 7 PEDSSA HOCKEY TOURNAMENT on the astro turf at their school.

The following teams played

St. Joseph's , Wareham Middle, St. Michael's Middle, Allenbourn A and B teams and Sandford A and B teams.

The tournament was a round robin which meant that every team played each other.  At the end of this league two teams qualified for the final - St. Michael's and Allenbourn. The play in the final was of a very high standard and both teams had a number of good shots on target. However  St. Michael's proved to be the better team both in attack and defence and managed to win by 1-0 in a very exciting and final match. Allenbourn were very worthy runners up and there B team also managed to come third overrall. Click on the photo on the left to enlarge the image.
